Riptide Help Videos
Please keep close eye on your strum patterns especially in this song! Keep that left hand moving to the beat, even when not strumming the strings, or else you will tend to get off beat, and the sound will get messy. As always, if looking for specific techniques or parts of any of our pieces, please email me!
Riptide Strum PatternsYes, I know we've all learned a strum pattern for this song on our own! However, it's important that we all keep on the same pattern as an ensemble for it to sound clean, and for the different rhythms to come out of the arrangement.
Guitars, you have the same strum pattern as the first one in this video - make sure to practice keeping that consistent! |

Ukulele Fretboard Follow-AlongIn this video, I've included the audio of the guitar part in addition to playing and showing the ukulele part. This video also tells you which strum pattern to use as it is playing, in order to help you keep them straight.
Especially use this to practice how the second strum pattern (XDXD) goes together with the guitar strum pattern! Watch the screen for instructions! |

Guitar Fretboard Follow-AlongIn this video, I've included the audio of the ukulele part so that you can get used to hearing it with your part. Use this to practice staying together with the ensemble and not speeding up while playing. Watch out for those F Maj7 Chords in the bridge section!
